Marie-Kristin Friedow was 18 years old when she died on April 25th 2010 because of a car accident where she was the driver. She was not speeding, had no drugs and was not texting or using the cell phone. The accident was not any other persons fault, she probably made a minor driving mistake on wet streets that caused here loosing control over her car. She went way too early and a lot of family members and friends are missing her. This web page is created to keep Marie-Kristin Friedow in memory, but also to try to show others a little of why she was so special and how one person can have an impact on so many other people. Often this was not clearly visible to everybody. Even we parents learn now some things now we didn't know about her. So we decided to share the stories and memories and this webpage will be a place to give everyone the opportunity to get to know her a little bit better. To see what she liked, what she did, what she wrote (she had a writing talent for sure) , stories and poems other people shared with us about and for her.
P.S.: If you have a story to share you can do this on the blog or feel free to send it to ThomasFriedow@yahoo.de , but please be patient with me posting it.
d5 stands for "deafening5ilence" which was one of the user names Marie-Kristin used on the internet. In the "link" section of this web page I added a song which somebody had composed for d5.
For introduction, some of things she said
Marie-Kristin in the tree in front of our House. We believe she took the picture with a timer by herself
On Facebook: I walked out of a building today, felt the cold air and this light drizzle of rain hitting my face, and just groaned with pleasure. I love being alive. ♥
on My Space: About me: I question some things but unquestioningly accept much more For once, I'm content where I am sort of. I'll work on it, alright?
I'm just searching right now and for the first time... finding Part of me says to stay where I am but I'm far too intent on moving forward
I'd be content to enter people's lives make a positive change and leave, never expecting anything in return. But when I do touch people, they always touch me and it's what I live for.
